The Science Popularization Centre invites children and parents to participate in classes conducted by experts from the Social Insurance Institution in Zabrze. Classes will take place on the 16^th of February.

Experts from the Social Insurance Institution in Zabrze will introduce children to issues related to social insurance and will show that putting aside money together means that no one is left without support. During the meeting participants will learn:

• What is ZUS (Social Insurance Institution) and why does it exist?
• What are premiums and why adults pay them?
• To whom and in what situations ZUS helps (illness, accident, retirement, birth of a child).

Classes take the form of workshops combined with fun. Children will listen to short stories from life, take part in movement games, games with “coins” and “piggy bank,” quizzes and art classes.

The workshop will be held in the Centre of New Technologies of the Silesian University of Technology at. Konarskiego 22B in Gliwice on February 16^th, 2026, at: 

• 9:30-10:30 for children aged 6-9 years,
• 11:00-12:00 for children aged 10-12 years 

Prior registration is required. The number of participants is limited.
