RobotCooperation project – free courses for students
From the 26th to 27th September 2024, the fifth and final meetings of partners implementing the RobotCooperation project took place in Kahramanmarash, Turkey. The aim of the project is to create a comprehensive educational program, thanks to which it will be possible to use humanoid robots in the education process. Those interested in this topic can take advantage of free online courses.
Project partners are: KAHRAMANMARAS SUTU IMAM UNIVERSITESI (Coordinator) (Turkey), SILESIAN UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY (Poland), ARDA Beratung & Bildung GmbH (Germany), GAZI UNIVERSITESI (Turkey), UNIVERSITAT JAUME I DE CASTELLON (Spain). The Silesian University of Technology was represented by Dr Hab. Eng. Magdalena Palacz Prof. SUT. During the meeting, the partners summarized the state of implementation of tasks in the project and discussed the planned activities ending the program.
The result of the project is a proposed online course dedicated to learning how to program the Pepper robot. This is a universal course, available after logging in to the LMS platform (based on Moodle). The course, addressed to students and anyone interested in programming a humanoid robot, is available in five languages (English, Polish, Spanish, German and Turkish).
The project partners encourage all people interested in the subject of humanoid robots to log in to the course and test it. The materials were developed in such a form that you can try to test the Pepper robot software yourself. The course is free and voluntary, and partners will be happy to review your feedback to improve it.
