Researchers' Night of the Silesian University of Technology will take place this Saturday
Let’s get together to learn during the 21st Researchers' Night of the Silesian University of Technology on the 10th of October, There are more than 270 activities taking place in 4 cities: Gliwice, Katowice, Zabrze, and Rybnik. There will be workshops, presentations, lectures, as well as an extraordinary concert combining science and music.
The 21st edition of the Researchers' Night of the Silesian University of Technology takes place under the slogan “Science at your fingertips”. More than 270 popular science activities await the participants of the event. It is an opportunity for inspiring meetings with researchers of the Silesian University of Technology and a chance to discover surprising phenomena and issues.
The Researchers' Night of the Silesian University of Technology will begin at 17:00 with a solemn inauguration at the Centre of New Technologies, during which the Popularisers of Science of the Silesian University of Technology will be honoured for activities popularizing knowledge in 2025, as well as the winners of the 2026 Researchers' Night of the Silesian University of Technology competitions.
A special point of the program will be a lecture entitled “From movement to moving music” delivered by Dr Hab. Eng. Kamila Barczak and a concert of “ Hengelo”, a band combining contemporary rock sound with inspirations from the music of the 80s, electronics and elements of jazz. The event will take place at 7:00 PM in Auditorium 300 at the Faculty of Mining, Safety Engineering, and Industrial Automation.
