Register for participation in the "Science without Borders" program and support the education of people with disabilities

We are starting recruitment for the "Science without Borders" program, which involves creating teaching aids and therapeutic devices for children and adolescents with disabilities. 

The "Science without borders" program is implemented in cooperation with the Special Educational Centre in Dąbrowa Górnicza. Scientists and students of the Silesian University of Technology together with the Centre’s teachers work on modern teaching aids and therapeutic devices based on design thinking. The solutions they prepare support therapy, among others: in the field of speech therapy, typhlopedagogy, surdopedagogy and sensory integration. 

The demand for aids and devices is very high, and projects often require specialist knowledge in the field of new technologies and engineering. 

We invite scientists, students and PhD students who want to support the education and therapy of people with disabilities to participate. The program can be applied to by implementers who already have a ready idea for a project, as well as by people who are just looking for such an idea - therapists from the SOSW in Dąbrowa Górnicza will certainly be of help and will advise what should be done.

Program participants will cooperate with teachers on an ongoing basis while preparing teaching aids or devices. In addition, they will have access to the Centre’s infrastructure.
