Recruitment for the EU Career Ambassador at the Silesian University of Technology

Silesian University of Technology together with the European Personnel Selection Office (EPSO) announces recruitment for the position of EU Career Ambassador for the academic year 2026/2027. This is a unique opportunity to represent the European Union at our University, gain valuable experience and have a real impact on the development of students’ professional awareness.

As an EU Career Ambassador:

  • You will gain up-to-date knowledge of job opportunities and internships in EU institutions,
  • You will establish cooperation with students and ambassadors from all over Europe,
  • You will develop competences in the field of public speaking, marketing, and HR,
  • You will take part in a professional preparatory training and receive the support of a mentor,
  • You will meet the representatives of the EU institutions,
  • You will receive a letter of recommendation confirming your achievements.

Your tasks

  • Acting as a contact point for students interested in a career in the EU,
  • Organization of events, presentations, and participation in job fairs,
  • Active presence in social media,
  • Cooperation with university media and building a network of contacts,
  • Preparing mailings and disseminating information about job offers in the EU,
  • Answering questions about recruitment to the EU institutions

Requirements:

  • Having organized or participated in at least one event related to the role of ambassador;
  • Devoting a minimum of two hours per week for ambassador activities;
  • Regular contact with the EU Careers Coordinator,
  • Participation in online training organized by EPSO,
  • Reliable reporting of completed tasks,
  • Very good communication skills, ability to organize and build relationships,
  • Willingness to learn and share knowledge.

Who can apply?

  • Citizens of EU countries,
  • Fluent speakers of English and the language of the country of study,
  • Students of the Silesian University of Technology present at the university throughout the program period (October 2026 – September 2027),
  • People available for mandatory training in October 2026

Required documents

  1. CV in Europass format (in Polish),
  2. A Cover Letter in Polish with a short justification for participation in the program.
