Recruitment for student engineering projects
Recruitment for student engineering projects under the "Silesian University of Technology as a modern European technical university" program will last until the end of September. Recruitment is aimed at students of selected fields of study.
As part of the project, student engineering projects will be implemented with the participation of SUT lecturers and teachers from abroad. Projects will be implemented in teams, by a group of at least four students representing various fields of study. The implementation of the task is to enable students to acquire skills in solving complex engineering problems of an interdisciplinary nature in areas that are thematically consistent with the fields of study:
- Automation and Robotics,
- Computer Science
- Mechanical Engineering,
- Mechatronics,
- Management and Production Engineering
- Biotechnology,
- Safety Engineering,
- Material Engineering
In addition, students will have the opportunity to improve their teamwork skills and the use of the English language.
Students will be able to choose one of 9 projects:
- Smart health services in the context of creating cities of the future
- Singing stairs as a modern element of urban space - the possibility of using piezoelectric materials
- Chatbot at the Silesian University of Technology, i.e. an intelligent contact point for the academic community
- Intelligent systems in shaping a safe public space - Project of a safe campus of the Silesian University of Technology
- Application of automatic data identification systems in a smart city
- Robotization and automation in the context of industry 4.0 - applications of industrial robots
- Application of cognitive engineering in creating intelligent graphical interfaces
- Application of the Flexim system in selected production areas
- Virtualization of post-industrial tourism monuments - history of technology available to everyone
Another topic of the project is also possible, proposed in the framework of joint discussions with the tutor.
