PyCon PL conference at the Silesian University of Technology
The 16th edition of the PyCon PL conference will be held from August 29th to September 1st at the Education and Congress Centre of the Silesian University of Technology. It is the largest stationary conference in Poland fully dedicated to the Python language and part of the global PyCon conference series.
The Silesian University of Technology will host a conference devoted to the most popular programming language in the world (according to the TIOBE ranking). Since 2019, Python has also been one of several languages to choose from in the computer science secondary school leaving exam due to its increasingly widespread use in education. Python is used in areas such as processing large data sets, machine learning, artificial intelligence, data visualization, task automation, and web applications. It is therefore not surprising that it is often used in the everyday work of many scientists and students of the Silesian University of Technology.
That is why we invite you to participate in the conference, during which you will be able to learn even more about the secrets of the Python program.
Each day's event will be divided into several tracks consisting of lectures and workshops.
Attendees can expect over 40 lectures and 10 workshops, mostly in English, led by members of the international Python community, including employees of well-known IT companies (including: Nvidia, Amazon, Bloomberg, Red Hat, Orange Labs, Splunk (Cisco), Stellantis and Orsted).
The conference topics include practical applications of Python - in business, education and research.
This year the main invited speakers at the event will be:
- Łukasz Langa (Python Software Foundation, CPython core developer, Python 3.8-3.9 release manager, Black code formatter)
- Anwesha Das (Red Hat, Ansible release manager, PyLadies Stockholm)
- Kushal Das (Python Software Foundation board director, Sunet, CPython core developer)
- Pablo Galindo (Bloomberg, CPython core developer, Python Steering Council, Python 3.10-3.11 release manager)
Participation in the conference is subject to a fee.
