Prominent scientists at the inaugural meeting of the IN-NOVA project
Prominent scientists from abroad visit the kick-off meeting of the Horizon Europe - IN-NOVA project, the leader of which is the Silesian University of Technology, and the coordinator is prof. Marek Pawełczyk.
Recruitment of PhD students for the project is underway.
On November 22nd – 23rd , at the Silesian University of Technology, a meeting was held to inaugurate the research project under the Horizon Europe program entitled "Active reduction of noise transmitted into and from enclosures through encapsulated structures". The leader of the project is the Silesian University of Technology, and the originator and coordinator - prof. Marek Pawełczyk. The members of the consortium are prestigious universities and research institutes as well as global companies - University College London, University of Southampton, KU Leuven, Politecnico di Milano, Universitat Politecnica de Valencia, Otto von Geuricke Universitat Magdeburg, DLR, Siemens, Airbus, Analog Devices, Muller-BBM. Also involved are scientists from the Universidad Austral of Chile, Hong-Kong Polytechnic University, Nanyang Technological University Singapore, Kansai University and Qatar University, as well as institutions such as the Noise Abatement Society from Great Britain, Stadler, Diehl Aviation and the Central Office of Measures. The project budget is approximately EUR 3.45 million.
The meeting at the Silesian University of Technology was attended by outstanding scientists, including prof. Jian Kang - winner of the ERC Advanced Grant, prof. Hamid Reza Karimi - a scientist with 6 times Web of Science Highly Cited Researcher status and H=92 index, or Dr. Jordan Cheer - editor of the Journal of Sound and Vibration from the TOP10 list.
The guests also had the opportunity to see the campus of the Silesian University of Technology.
