Professor Czesław Cempel PhD, DSc, Dr. h.c. mult. passed away

It is with deep regret that we inform you that Prof. Czesław Cempel PhD, DSc,  Dr. h.c. mult., a distinguished professor of  Poznan University of Technology, a retired researcher and lecturer at the Institute of Applied Mechanics, passed away on 21 August 2021.

Prof. Czesław Cempel was an outstanding specialist in dynamics, vibroacoustics, diagnostics, eco-engineering, systems theory and engineering, and research methodology.  He originated many courses and education specialties, including vibroacoustics of machines, operation and diagnostics, mechatronics, eco-engineering. Professor was awarded a title of an honorary doctorate of Szczecin University of Technology and AGH University of Science and Technology. He was also a member of many scientific organisations.

The academic community bids farewell to a wonderful man and a dedicated teacher. The funeral ceremony of the late Prof. Czesław Cempel will be held on Thursday, 26th August 2021, at noon at the Municipal Cemetery on ul. Kcyńska in Bydgoszcz.
