Prestigious award for the Industry 4.0 Centre of the Silesian University of Technology
The Industry 4.0 Centre of the Silesian University of Technology received a prestigious award of the International Fair of Innovative Industrial Solutions – Warsaw Industry Week. The award was granted for significant contribution to the development of the Conference Program and co-creation of a high level of content of the event for many years.
The Industry 4.0 Centre of the Silesian University of Technology has been a permanent partner of the International Fair of Innovative Industrial Solutions – Warsaw Industry Week, held annually at Ptak Warsaw Expo. Traditionally, in cooperation with the Fair Management, the Centre organized the Conference opening this prestigious event, setting the directions for discussions on the latest trends in the industry.
- This year, in recognition of its long-term, significant contribution to the development of the Conference Program and the co-creation of the high-level content of the event, the Industry 4.0 Centre was awarded by the Management of Ptak Warsaw Expo with a diploma and medal in the category "Co-creator of the fair's success". This prestigious award confirms the growing role of the Centre in shaping the national and international debate on the transformation of industry – says Dr Eng. Damian Krenczyk, Prof. SUT, Deputy, Director of the Industry 4.0 Centre.
The topics of the co-organized Conference concern the most important and current issues for the industrial sector, resulting from technological and organizational development, formal conditions, new business models, and mechanisms to support entrepreneurs in shaping the new generation of industry.
- The title of this year’s conference “Manufacturing-X – a new stage of Industry 4.0 implementation” refers to the current global trend of shaping production ecosystems based on data sharing. This model of generating and delivering value meets the key requirements of the manufacturing sector today, namely: Resilience to disruption, competitiveness, and sustainability - adds Prof. Krenczyk.
The conference was held on 4 November 2025 at Ptak Warsaw Expo in Nadarzyn, and its commencement was combined with the solemn opening of the Fair with the participation of honorary guests representing state institutions and in the presence of representatives of the diplomatic corps. The first part of the conference was dedicated to presenting the essence of Manufacturing-X, presenting practical application cases, and discussing international and national initiatives to implement this concept.
The conference program was attended by representatives of entities invited by the Industry Centre 4.0 with whom the Centre cooperates in the subject matter: International Manufacturing-X Council, German Ministry of Economy and Energy, Ministry of Development and Technology, Industrial Development Agency, Mechanical Engineering Industry Association.
The first part was completed by a panel with the participation of representatives of key clusters and Special Economic Zones, during which the conditions for the transformation of the domestic industrial sector toward Manufacturing-X and the necessary support measures for entrepreneurs entering this path were discussed.
In the second part of the conference, participants had the opportunity to listen to expert speeches on the subject of Manufacturing-X with the participation of representatives of companies: Explitia, ESG Advisors, Siemens, Sii Poland and the Silesian University of Technology.
- The event met with very good opinions of the participants and was recognized as an important impulse in building an initiative for the dissemination of the Manufacturing-X concept in the domestic production sector - says Dr. Eng. Damian Krenczyk, Prof. SUT, Deputy, Director of the Industry 4.0 Centre.
Conferences organized by the Industry 4.0 Centre strengthen the recognition of the competences of the Silesian University of Technology in the issues of Industry 4.0 and allow to build interesting cooperation with technological leaders.
