PRECOP 27 conference with the participation of scientists from the Silesian University of Technology

The PRECOP 27 Conference will be held at the International Congress Centre in Katowice. It will precede preparations for the Climate Summit in Egypt (UN Climate Change Conference 2022 - COP27). The meeting, which will be held from 18 to 19 October, will be attended by scientists from the Silesian University of Technology.

PRECOP 27 is a conference aimed at preparing the Polish position for the Climate Summit in Egypt. During the event, participants will summarize the results of the negotiations of the last Climate Summit (COP26), check what has already been achieved and what will be continued at COP27. A common position and postulates will also be prepared in response to the most important topics that will be discussed during the upcoming COP27 in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt.

PRECOP 27 participants will discuss, among others,  the transformation of the energy sector, green financing of investments, initiatives of cities and local governments for the climate and the circular economy. Scientists, politicians, local government officials and business representatives will take part in the conference.

The organizers of PRECOP 27 are: United Nations Global Compact Network Poland - the Polish secretariat of the members of the world's largest initiative bringing together sustainable business and the PTWP Group, organizer of the European Economic Congress as well as conferences and special events.
