The Women's Basketball Section of AZS Politechnika Śląska announces recruitment for its teams! If you like playing basketball and want to train regularly - this is a chance for you.

Let us remind you that this season, the AZS Politechnika Śląska team made its debut in the Silesian second women's league and is currently seventh in the league table. Basketball players from our University also compete in the Silesian Academic Championships, with a chance to advance to the Polish Academic Championships.

Coach Patryk Niczke invites all interested students - players with experience in basketball league - to trainings that take place every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday in the sports hall of the Silesian University of Technology, at 26, Akademicka Street in Gliwice.

- This is a chance not only to play in league competitions, Silesian Academic Championships, Polish Academic Championships, a good scholarship, further sports development and a great break from studies, but also to participate in research projects carried out at our University - says Patryk Niczke. - This season, for example, we took part in research on proprioceptive sensation and balance, conducted at the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering in Zabrze, which ultimately aims to reduce the risk of injuries through the development of precise and personalized training programs. If you are a player and have played or play basketball, do not hesitate and come to the Silesian University of Technology, and join us! In the current season, Dominika Bednarek - a youth representative of Poland, who defends the colours of the first league team RMKS Rybnik - joined our academic team.
