PKO Gliwice Half Marathon – changes in traffic organization
On October 26th, 2025, PKO Gliwice Half Marathon will take place. Therefore, there may be traffic difficulties on the marathon route from 7.00 o’clock. Changes in traffic organization and street closures
According to the Municipal Roads Authority, on the day of the event, from 7.00 to 13.00, there will be temporary closures of roads on the run route, which will include the following streets:
Akademicka – Strzody – Dworcowa – Dolnych Wałów – Matejki – Basztowa – Bytomska – Rynek – Zwycięstwa – Wybrzeże Armii Krajowej – Berbeckiego – Chopin Park – Fredry – European Square – Zwycięstwa – Bohaterów Getta Warszawskiego – Lech Kaczyński Roundabout – Warszawska – Lubliniecka – Tarnogórska – Rostka – Podlesie – Skowrońskiego – Poniatowskiego – Zabrska – Hutnicza – Franciszkańska – viaduct over DTŚ – Robotnicza – Wincentego Pola – Chrobry Park – PreZero Arena Gliwice (finish).
There will also be temporary traffic congestion in the city centre:
No entry to the city centre via Chorzowska and Tarnogórska streets (from the city border),
Access to the area located inside the route loop (Śródmieście) will be possible only from the DTS with exits to Dworcowa and Częstochowska Streets,
For the duration of the run, bus communication will take detours – detailed information will be published on the website of the Metropolitan Transport Authority.
All streets will be successively opened after the last competitors while maintaining road safety. We ask for your understanding and compliance with the designated detours.
