“Pierwszaki POLSL 2021/2022” (transl. the POLSL 2021/2022 Freshmen group) a Facebook information group for first-year students

An information group for first-year students of the Silesian University of Technology has been launched on Facebook. All information important for newly admitted students and those that will facilitate their integration will be published there.

By joining the “Pierwszaki POLSL 2021/2022” group, you will be able to find out what documents to submit, how to apply for a social grant or a place in dormitory, and meet people who have chosen the same studies.

The group is led by the Student Council of the Silesian University of Technology, which will answer all questions of new students on an ongoing basis.  “It is a kind of a forum, where we will dispel all doubts of those who have not yet familiarised themselves with the principles of functioning of our University” says Katarzyna Ptaszyńska, the deputy chairman of Student Council.

“The group will be phased out over time, but this will only happen when we are confident that the Freshmen have been fully assimilated into our community and any issues of being a newcomer have been taken care of” she adds.

Currently, the group can be found on the FB profile of the Student Council of the Silesian University of Technology.
