Paid summer student internships in the USA
Silesian University of Technology, in cooperation with Westinghouse Electric Company, announces the launch of a recruitment for paid summer student internships organized in Westinghouse engineering centres in the United States. The program is an element of personnel development for nuclear energy – including the future construction of the first Polish nuclear power plant.
Available Internship Paths:
- Global Plant Engineering and Design
- Global APX Supply Chain.
The training will take place in the USA (Westinghouse engineering centres).
As part of the internship, participants can count on the costs of flight and accommodation and payment of a scholarship to be covered. To be eligible to apply for internships, students must have completed min. 2 full years of higher education. Preferred fields of study are: civil engineering, chemistry, mechanical engineering, power engineering, economics, electrical engineering, mechatronics, and related fields.
After completing the internship program, it is possible to participate in the project of building a Polish nuclear power plant; most participants of previous editions continue to work full-time at Westinghouse.
Application deadline by the 8th of February 2026 (inclusive). Applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
