Our beginnings – technical literature at the Library of the Silesian University of Technology
The Library of the Silesian University of Technology invites you to an exhibition presenting technical literature collected from the beginning of the library’s existence. The exhibition will open on May 7th, 2024. The event is part of Book Week, which is one of the 50 weeks in the City of Science.
The most interesting standards and patents will be presented, as well as books and magazines that formed the basis of collections in the 40s and 50s. The first publications issued by the Silesian University of Technology will also be shown. On the example of selected publications, the history of creating a collection of technical literature, which is the basis of the scientific activity of the Silesian University of Technology, will be presented. The exhibition will be available in the Library building from 7th to 8th May, as well as online on the Library website throughout the Book Week.
The event is part of Book Week, which is one of the 50 weeks in the City of Science.
