Ordinance of the Rector of the Silesian University of Technology concerning the operation of the University from 01 October 2021
On 30 August 2021 the Rector of the Silesian University of Technology issued an ordinance concerning the operation of the University from 01 October. Therefore, in the coming academic year the education will be held in a face-to-face method subject to the sanitary regulations in force. In the case of an increased outbreak of the SARS-CoV-2, a different method of education may be introduced.
Under the Ordinance No 146/2021, teaching shall be conducted in a face-to-face method, i.e. with direct physical participation of academic staff or other individuals conducting classes, students and doctoral students. This applies in particular to laboratory classes, tutorials, seminars, project classes, foreign language classes, and consultations. Teaching in a face-to-face method is conducted with preservation of the sanitary regulations in force.
Lectures shall be conducted in a face-to-face or blended method (with part of the group present in the lecture hall), depending on technical and organisational capacity. In the case of lectures conducted in a blended method, the lectures shall be recorded and the audio-video recordings made available on the Distance Education Platform of the Silesian University of Technology.
Pregnant female students and persons with disabilities have priority in taking up a seat in a teaching room and in access to the equipment used during classes.
In case of an increased outbreak of SARS-CoV-2, a different method of organizing the education may be introduced.
