– Such production lines are currently quite popular in various educational centres. Our Industry 4.0 Technology Testing Centre is open, it can be used by both students during classes or PBL projects, as well as researchers in their research. Comparative and verification tests can be carried out here. It is also a place that can be used to promote science - said dr hab. Eng. Anna Timofiejczuk , prof. SUT, the Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.
The Industry 4.0 Technology Testing Centre was developed and built by APA Group. The centre is connected to a platform called NAZCA 4.0, which was also designed and developed by APA Group.
– The company brought its industrial experience here, for over 20 years we have been automating and robotizing Polish and foreign industry. Industry 4.0 Technology Testing Centre is a combination of science and business. We invite all scientists to use data from the real industrial world, one in which analyses and tests can be performed - said Dr. Eng. Artur Pollak, president of APA Group.
The main elements of the Industry 4.0 Technology Testing Centre are the production line and the NAZCA 4.0 platform, which is an IIoT application for managing and optimizing automation in the production plant.
During today's ceremony, the Silesian University of Technology also signed a letter of intent with Orange, which will provide the University with 5G technology.
