Opening of the Centre for Isotope Methods
On December 8th, 2022, the Centre for Isotope Methods CEMIZ will be opened at the Institute of Physics - Scientific and Didactic Centre of the Silesian University of Technology. The Centre will conduct top-quality scientific research in cooperation with the industry.
The opening of the Centre is the culmination of a project implemented by the Department of Geochronology and Environmental Isotopic Research of the Institute of Physics-CND, co-financed by the Regional Operational Program of the Silesian Voivodeship for 2014-2020 under the European Regional Development Fund.

The aim of CEMIZ is to conduct the highest quality scientific research and cooperation with the socio-economic environment. The laboratory will provide measurement services for the determination of bio content‑ substances in fuels for energy based on renewable raw materials, in foodstuffs and other products containing biocomponents. Analyses for radiocarbon dating, as well as environmental protection, geological and hydrological studies will also be performed.
