OMNIUM STUDIOSORUM OPTIMO medals-giving ceremony
The most talented graduates of the Silesian University of Technology have been awarded. The Rector of the Silesian University of Technology awarded the OMNIUM STUDIOSORUM OPTIMO Medal to the best among students. This medal, set by a resolution of the Senate of the Silesian University of Technology, is the highest distinction awarded to graduates of the Silesian University of Technology. It is awarded to graduates who are distinguished by exceptional results in their studies and outstanding scientific achievements. This year, the medal was awarded to five graduates.
Today's ceremony took place in the Dean's Council Hall of the Faculty of Mining, Safety Engineering and Industrial Automation. The medals were awarded by the Rector of the Silesian University of Technology, Prof. Arkadiusz Mężyk, and the Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Education, Prof. Wojciech Szkliniarz.
“The OMNIUM STUDIOSORUM OPTIMO medal is a great honour. This year we have awarded five of them. Your achievements were impressive. It wasn't just your academic record, but, above all, your activity in student scientific associations, your scientific work and many other activities that were taken into account. I would also like to congratulate those who were awarded the Rector's Prize. We are very happy to have such talented graduates. As you know, the Silesian University of Technology was among the laureates of the Excellence Initiative - Research University programme, hence the development of scientific research, but above all very good education. This is an extremely important element of our activity” said Rector Professor Arkadiusz Mężyk.
