Next edition of the MBA programmes at the Silesian University of Technology - recruitment begins!
On March 25th, 2023, the next edition of the Master of Business Administration degree programmes offered by the Silesian University of Technology will start. Those studies are organised by the International Centre for Interdisciplinary Research, under the leadership of Małgorzata Dobrowolska, PhD, DSc., Prof. of SUT. Once more, the MBA offer will include two popular programmes: Industry 4.0. and Public Services. A new third programme profile: Hydrogen Technologies and Energy Transformation will also be offered.
The MBA programme at the Silesian University of Technology is an interdisciplinary programme of advanced managerial competences that draws on the latest developments in many contemporary disciplines: economics and finance, management, psychology, law, social communication and media sciences and many others.
The mission of the MBA of the Silesian University of Technology is to develop strong management and technology leaders of the future, with a positive impact on technological and social progress, ready to face the challenges of today.
The programme is based on three values: implementation of future technologies, use of innovation and global management trends, and strong and responsible leadership. The studies have been prepared based on the standards of one of the 3 most prestigious global accreditations of the AMBA (Association of Master of Business Administration).
Graduates gain the prestigious MBA diploma from the Silesian University of Technology - one of the 10 research universities in Poland, and the Nyenrode Business University in the Netherlands - one of the best business universities in Europe.
The comfortable form of study allows students to combine the MBA studies with everyday duties, thanks to the weekend formula (classes on Saturdays and Sundays) and the hybrid formula (online and onsite). Classes are held in Polish and English. There is also a guaranteed option of translation.
The teaching staff includes top-class national and international experts. The degree programme offers innovative forms of education, where more than half of the classes are taught by practitioners in the form of management games, learning by doing, design thinking, case studies, management simulations and team projects. This is complemented by visits to top national and international entities and a field trip session to a partner university, the Nyenrode Busines Universitet in the Netherlands. Graduates are exempted from the examination for candidates for supervisory board members of state-owned companies.
MBA Hydrogen Technologies and Technology Transformation
Energy transition, depletion of natural resources and the use of modern technologies in energy and heat production using hydrogen are among the most topical and urgent issues in the economy and in business. To meet these challenges, the Silesian University of Technology, together with its strategic partner, the Veolia Group, has prepared a unique Master of Business Administration degree programme with the profile of Hydrogen Technologies and Energy Transformation. In addition to key managerial issues, students of this unique programme will have the opportunity to learn about decarbonisation, low-carbon sources of energy and heat, and solutions related to the use of hydrogen.
MBA Industry 4.0 Programme
The programme prepares modern leaders for digital transformation. It emphasises management competencies in line with the new technologies of Industry 4.0, which include incremental technologies, cyber security, autonomous robots, augmented reality, big data processing, cloud computing, simulation and process visualisation. Key topics, in addition to the underlying managerial content, include business models for Industry 4.0 and technology and product evaluation. The programme involves a number of renowned, highly prestigious business partners.
MBA Public Services Programme
The MBA Public Services programme creates leaders of modern public administration units strongly focused on the use of new technologies in everyday public management. As part of the specialisation track of the profile, students acquire knowledge in topics including: models of public administration functioning in selected European countries, work standards for public administration employees, cyber security of public administration in Poland, technical revolution in public management, E-administration and administration in a virtual environment, 4.0 technologies in public institutions. The strategic partner of the second edition of this programme is the Northern Subregion of the Silesian Voivodeship and the Silesian Union of Municipalities and Districts.
