New edition of the programme for the recruitment of outstanding researchers

The fourth edition of the programme related to inviting prominent researchers and outstanding young scientists to the University was launched.

As part of the Excellence Initiative - Research University (IDUB) programme, the Silesian University of Technology continues work on strengthening the scientific staff by employing prominent researchers and outstanding young scientists, in particular from abroad, who can create and lead research teams, submit within a year a project application in the Horizon programme, as well as publications in top scientific journals.

Updated competition announcements in Polish and English were published on the University's website, as well as on the website of the Ministry of Education and Science and the international portal for mobile scientists EURAXESS.

To popularize the attached advertisements, we encourage the employees of the Silesian University of Technology to make them available to scientists who meet the criteria. These criteria are demanding, but the opportunities offered by the University are significant and competitive with leading foreign universities.

Potential candidates should pay attention to the package of pro-quality programmes, which they will be benefited from, especially if they demonstrate achievements comparable to those required in the competition criteria during their work at the University. The possibility of providing part of the work remotely may also be important in attracting outstanding scientists from abroad. As a result of the completed three editions of the competition, the University offered employment to nine candidates.
