National Hydrogen Partnership Day

On 29th January in Wrocław Technology Transfer Centre the National Info Day Clean Hydrogen Partnership Innovation Fund was held. It is a unique event dedicated to competitions related to hydrogen technologies, the development of green energy and the future role of hydrogen in the economy. The conference was organized by the National Contact Point for EU Research Programs together with the Horizontal Contact Point of South-Western Poland coordinated by the Silesian University of Technology and the Association of Lower Silesian Hydrogen Valley.

The event was a national presentation of opportunities and Clean Hydrogen Partnership competitions with Horizon Europe, which was attended by over 120 people.

The Silesian University of Technology was represented by Dr Hab. Eng. Adam Klimanek, Prof. SUT, from the Department of Thermal Technology at Silesian University of Technology, who delivered the presentation “Research and development activity in the field of hydrogen technologies in the Department of Thermal Technology” in the session “Hydrogen – a new era in the energy industry”.

The substantive part was opened by Katarzyna Anna Gryc from DG Energy, who presented the European hydrogen policy, while Antonio Aguilo-Rullan from Clean Hydrogen Partnership discussed the open hydrogen partnership competitions. Wojciech Lach, coordinator of the HySPARK project from ORLEN, shared his experience in applying for grants under the Horizon Europe program. Representatives of the CINEA agency presented the Innovation Fund and competitions concerning Net Zero technology and hydrogen auctions. Representatives of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology and the Institute of Fuel and Energy Technology also talked about their projects.

At the end of the meeting, participants had the opportunity to learn about international projects implemented by the Fraunhofer Institute Centre Dresden and the Institute of Materials Research, Slovak Academy of Science. Their plans and projects were also presented by the co-organizers of the event - Association of Lower Silesian Hydrogen Valley.

The Information Day ended with a networking meeting, which was an excellent opportunity to establish new contacts.

We hope that the meeting in Wrocław will result in new projects in Horizon Europe!
