The conference was officially opened by Dr Hab. Aleksandra Kuzior, Prof. SUT, Dean of the Faculty of Organization and Management, who acts as the project manager. The professor presented the main assumptions of the proposed support for secondary school pupils. In the plenary part, Dr Tomasz Huk, Deputy Curator of Education in Katowice, and Piotr Fałek, President of the Management Board of Syntea S.A., also spoke.
The project provides comprehensive support for secondary school pupils preparing to take up studies, offers free tutoring in such subjects as computer science, mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology or geography to young people. Future secondary school graduates can also count on professional advice and help in choosing studies, preparatory courses, as well as specialist workshops at the university. In addition, they have to choose certified specialist courses in the field of market qualifications in accordance with the Act on the Integrated Qualifications System. They will also take part in workshops supporting the development of green competences and competences of the future.
