Ministry of Education and Science guidelines for functioning of higher education institutions during the epidemic

Due to the beginning of the new academic year and the return of students to universities, the Ministry of Education and Science, in consultation with representatives of the academic community and the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate developed guidelines for the safe functioning of universities and other entities of the higher education system during the epidemic.

The guidelines are a set of recommendations, advice and suggestions, that should be applied taking into account the changing legal situation, local number of cases, dynamics of the epidemic, the assessment of key risk factors as well as organisational and technical conditions of a given university.

All decisions are taken by the rectors or directors of institutes, who are responsible for the safety of the managed entities. They concern in particular:

- the method of conducting education and the conditions for the implementation of classes,

- development of emergency action plans and their updates,

- the organisation of any community events/meetings.
