Minerals Exchange with discussion panels, exhibitions, and workshops
We invite you to a unique event that combines passion for geology with education and fun! From November 30th to December 1st, the Faculty of Mining, Safety Engineering, and Industrial Automation of the Silesian University of Technology will host the Minerals Exchange.
The minerals exchange is a unique opportunity to see and acquire unique specimens of minerals, precious stones, and fossils. The event will also include fascinating lectures by experts and interactive workshops that will allow participants to experience the Earth sciences in practice.
At the stands, collectors and sellers will present their collections of minerals, precious stones, fossils, and other geological treasures. Participants will be able to admire, buy and exchange exhibits. Special exhibitions are also planned: Presentations of rare and unique specimens that attract the attention of both experts and laymen. In addition, participants will be able to take part in workshops, where they will learn to identify minerals, conduct basic geological analyses.
There will also be talks and lectures by experts. Scientists and specialists in the fields of geology, mineralogy and palaeontology will share their knowledge on the latest discoveries, research methods and the importance of minerals in various areas of life - for the first time in the form of a discussion panel!

Hour 10:00 - Let's talk about precious stones, subject: Inclusions, or “microcosm in a crystal.”
Hour 12:00 - Let's talk about precious stones, subject: Diamonds.
14:00 p.m. - Let's talk about collecting stones
16:00 p.m. – Let’s talk about stones from space
Sunday:
12:00 p.m. - Let's talk about fossils, topic: Lecture “Dinosaurs a stone’s throw away…”
14:00 o’clock - Let's talk about energy from stones... that is, energy resources (coal, oil, gas, uranium)
