Minecraft Education at the Centre for Modern Education
On June the 14th The Centre for Modern Education has completed last training course in the series „Game-based learning in academic didactics – building digital textbooks as Minecraft Education worlds” organized as part of a of training courses in modern learning methods, dedicated to the academic staff of the Silesian University of Technology.
The training was divided into 4 thematic meetings. During the training participants:
- Improved their environment design skills in Minecraft Education.
- Learnt about basic interactions in Minecraft Education.
- Developed competences in the use of innovative tools to improve asynchronous learning.
The training cycle was led by Dr Stefan Nowicki, digital competence trainer of academic teachers, instructional designer, graduate of the Institute for Emerging Leadership in Online Learning (Online Learning Consortium & Washington State University). Certified Microsoft PowerPoint Specialist, Word Expert and Minecraft Trainer.

The training was carried out as part of the project “Silesian University of Technology supporting the staff on the way to excellence” implemented within the framework of Measure 01.05 Skills in Higher Education in Priority 1 Skills of the European Funds for Social Development Program 2021-2027, based on the agreement no. FERS.01.05-IP.08-0159/23-00 under the supervision of the National Centre for Research and Development as an Intermediate Body.
