Meeting with candidates for the position of Rector of the Silesian University of Technology

An open meeting of the academic community with candidates for the position of Rector of the University will be held on April 9, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. in auditorium A of the Education and Congress Centre, 18B, Konarskiego Street.

The University Electoral Commission, after checking the formal conditions, announced that the candidates for the position of the Rector of the Silesian University of Technology in the term 2024-2028 are (in alphabetical order):

1. Dr Hab. Eng. Marek Pawełczyk,
2. Dr Hab. Eng. Krzysztof Wodarski, Professor SUT

On 5 April 2024, the Senate of the Silesian University of Technology issued a positive opinion on Prof. Dr Hab. Eng. Marek Pawełczyk as a candidate for the Rector, and negatively on the candidacy of Dr Hab. Eng. Krzysztof Wodarski, Professor of the Silesian University of Technology.

The meeting of the candidates with the academic community will be chaired by the Chairman of the University Electoral Committee, Prof. Dr Hab. Eng. Krzysztof Walczak.
