The Institute of Geophysics of the Polish Academy of Sciences is a leading scientific institution in the country conducting wide scientific and research activities in the field of geophysical sciences. The Institute also operates a number of research stations, including Spitsbergen and Antarctica.
Our institutions are combined in many common topics and research interests. During the meeting, four working teams were set up, which intend to conduct joint research and to seek its funding within international and national projects. There is also a promising possibility of cooperation in the field of didactics, including joint conduct of doctorates, as well as the organization of internships and visits of our students and scientists at the Institute’s stations.
We hope that such an initiative opens up new opportunities for the Silesian University of Technology and a chance for the development of the University and individual careers.
