Meeting of the Foundation for Polish Science scholarship holders
On the 16th –17th of May 2025, Silesian University of Technology will host the Meeting of the Scholarship Club of the Foundation for Polish Science. Then, from the 17th of May, the participants will meet in Krakow, where among more than 60 outstanding representatives of Polish science and the board of the FNP (Foundation for Polish Science) the deliberations will continue.
The Club brings together the winners of the FNP’s postdoctoral programs and works for the integration of the scientific community, promotion of the researcher’s ethos and support for young researchers. Club Meetings are not only an exchange of experiences, but also a space for building relationships and interdisciplinary cooperation. Silesian University of Technology is represented in the Club by Dr Eng. Grzegorz Cema from the Faculty of Energy and Environmental Engineering.
The event will include a discussion panel on the future of Polish science with the participation of members of the Board of the Foundation for Polish Science, including the President of the Management Board, Prof. Maciej Żylicz, President-elect Prof. Krzysztof Pyrć and vice-president of the board, Dr Marta Lazarowicz-Kowalik.
The highlight of the program will be the final of the Artur Rojszczak Award, granted to young doctors distinguished not only by their scientific achievements, but also by their humanistic attitude and broad horizons. This year, Dr Oleksii Bezkrovnyi (Institute of Low Temperature and Structural Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Wrocław), Dr Tomasz Gąsior (WSB Academy in Dąbrowa Górnicza) and Dr Olga Rostkowska (Medical University of Warsaw) qualified to the finals.
