Materials engineering with the Certificate of Excellence in Education from the Polish Accreditation Committee
The field of Materials Engineering at which students of the Faculty of Materials Engineering of the Silesian University of Technology study in Katowice received the Certificate of Excellence in Education of the Polish Accreditation Committee. The Faculty also received a special distinction in the category "Always for the student - excellence in supporting student development in the fields of study.”
On March 20th, 2025, the ceremony of awarding the Certificates of Excellence in Education of the Polish Accreditation Committee took place in Warsaw. The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, PKA (Polish Accreditation Committee) and distinguished universities. This prestigious distinction has been awarded to only 19 fields of study in Poland. Among them, is the field of materials engineering in Katowice.
The Polish Accreditation Committee awards Certificates of Excellence in Education for the highest quality of education. Certificates are awarded in four categories:
Excellent major - excellence in education in the field of study
Always for the student - excellence in supporting student development
Open to the world - excellence in international cooperation
Partner for development − excellence in cooperation with the socio-economic environment
The field of Materials Engineering at the Silesian University of Technology was awarded in the category: “Always for the student – excellence in supporting the student development in the fields of study.”
