Krzysztof Kawlewski, PhD passed away
It is with deep regret that we inform that Krzysztof Kawlewski, PhD passed away after a severe illness at the age of 41.
Krzysztof Kawlewski was an assistant professor at the Department of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. His scientific activities included issues related to vibrations in physical systems, especially modelling and simulation of vibration reduction systems in drive systems of mechatronic devices. He was also involved in research in 3D printing and IoT applications. He was the supervisor of many engineering and master's theses. He actively participated in many symposia and scientific conferences.
Krzysztof Kawlewski was the author and co-author of several dozen scientific papers of international and national range. For many years he was a member and treasurer of the organising committee of the International Symposium Modelling in Mechanics. He was a member of the Polish Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics. For many years, he maintained the website of the Department of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics.
The funeral ceremony will be held on the 11th of May 2022. A Mass will be held at 12.00 PM at the Church MB Częstochowskiej w Knurowie (transl. Church of Our Lady of Czestochowa in Knurów); it will be preceded by a rosary at 11.30 AM in the funeral chapel. The farewell ceremony will take place at the parish cemetery in Łaziska Górne.
