Invitation to participate in the Spokesmen of Science on site 2022 project

The Spokesmen of Science project aims to initiate and strengthen cooperation between scientists and journalists, and its key objective is to meet representatives of the media and science in the formula of speed dating. This year's event will be held on the 1st of March at the Education and Congress Centre at the Silesian University of Technology.

We invite you to participate in a meeting at the Science Popularisation Centre at the Silesian University of Technology in the framework of this year's project of the Science Advocates Association, supported by the Ministry of Education and Science. Meeting Spokesmen for Science on site will be held on the 1st of March at 10:00 am in the Education and Congress Centre at the Silesian University of Technology.

The participants will be able – apart from meeting journalists - to take part in the original training on soft skills in science communication of the Science Advocates Association "Ars Mollis", which will be held after the meeting with journalists from 12:30 to 15:30. Number of places: 12. Willingness to participate in the training should be indicated in the application form.

The event is organised as part of a project of the Science Advocates Association, supported by the Ministry of Education and Science. Meetings are organised in the form of speed dating, during which scientists and journalists, in a few minutes, exchange experiences related to the dissemination of knowledge. Their effect will be the establishment of long-term cooperation, as well as the transfer of new popularising topics, communicating scientific issues to a wide audience. Mutual support of both environments in this area is invaluable - information about projects or research, by reaching people not connected with the academic environment, emphasises the impact of science on the development of the economy, education, health care and other areas of life.

The current edition of "Spokesmen of Science" is organised in 8 cities: Poznań, Gliwice, Cracow, Wrocław, Częstochowa, Bydgoszcz, Szczecin and Białystok. We invite you to read the cover letter of the project " Spokesmen of Science".
