Invitation to a lecture: “From Steam to Artificial Intelligence – how technology is changing our everyday lives.”
We invite you on an extraordinary journey through the history of innovation and digitalization. Lecture "From Steam to Artificial Intelligence – How technology changes our everyday life", which will be conducted by Dr Eng. Sandra Grabowska, Prof SUT and Dr Eng. Roksana Poloczek will take place on February 16th at the Municipal Library in Radzionków.
A journey through the history of innovation and digitization is a story about the constant striving of man to push the limits of his own capabilities. The meeting will be a joint analysis of this extraordinary process. The participants will learn about the key stages of technical development – from the era of the steam engine, which changed the pace of work and communication forever, to the modern revolution driven by artificial intelligence algorithms.
The lecture will be conducted by the researchers from the Faculty of Materials Engineering and Digitization of Industry of the Silesian University of Technology Dr Hab. Eng. Sandra Grabowska, Prof SUT and Dr Eng. Roksana Poloczek.
The meeting will take place on the 16th of February 2026 at 16:30-17:30 in the Municipal Public Library in Radzionków (2, Gwarków Street). Entrance is free of charge.
The lecture is carried out as part of the project "Support for the process of just Transition through the Promotion of Higher Education " implemented within the framework of the European Funds for the Silesian Voivodship 2021-2027. Silesian University of Technology is a partner of the project.
