International Corrosion Awareness Day 2023 

On April 24^th we will celebrate International Corrosion Awareness Day! This year, the Corrosion Testing Laboratory of the Silesian University of Technology joins the celebration of this day for the first time.

The problem of corrosion affects each of us, often without our awareness. Therefore, the scientists of the Corrosion Testing Laboratory would like to draw attention to this phenomenon and encourage you to participate in the prepared attractions: 

• Live stream 24/7 on the "Electrochemistry Group" YouTube channel of the " Corrosion Countdown Timer " experiment, which is available until Corrosion Awareness Day - April 24^th , 2023. This is an unusual time countdown associated with the possibility of 24-hour observation of the progress of corrosion of carbon steel and stainless steel in a corrosive solution of sodium chloride.
• Photo competition entitled "Corrosion around us" - grab your camera and capture corrosion in its most beautiful look!
