Integration meeting for PhD students and researchers
On May 27, 2025, an integration event was held for PhD students and researchers with the aim of enhancing intercultural exchange and strengthening the academic community in Poland. The meeting was attended by representatives from seven countries, including Nepal, Pakistan, Ethiopia, Iran, India, Uganda, and Poland. The event was designed to provide participants with practical knowledge about traveling in Poland, as well as cultural insights into how Poles spend their holidays.
The event featured a variety of engaging activities:
- Informational Session – a presentation offered practical guidance on exploring Poland, highlighting key destinations and travel logistics.
- Cultural Insights - participants learned about typical Polish holiday habits and leisure traditions.
- Language Workshop - hands-on session introduced basic Polish phrases and vocabulary related to travel and vacation activities, enhancing participants’ ability to navigate their holidays more comfortably.
- Grill Party -the meeting concluded with an outdoor barbecue in the garden, providing a relaxed atmosphere for informal discussions, networking, and friendship-building.
A significant part of the event was dedicated to promoting the EURAXESS initiative, including information about the Polish EURAXESS network coordinated by NAWA. This provided valuable resources and support options available to researchers working in Poland.
The integration meeting successfully combined education, cultural exchange, and social interaction. Participants left the event with practical knowledge for exploring Poland, improved language skills, and new connections within the academic community. The friendly and welcoming atmosphere contributed to the overall success and positive reception of the event.
