HighlyCited Researchers at the Silesian University of Technology during the XXI Polish Control Conference on June 26-28 - invitation to plenary papers and seminar for PhD students
All employees, doctoral candidates and students will be able to listen via a YouTube channel to the live-streamed plenary papers taking place during the 21st PCC2023 on June 26-28. Among them will be papers by people with very high citation indicators, the so-called HighlyCited Researchers - Prof. Hamid Reza Karimi from Politecnico di Milano in Italy and Prof. Witold Pedrycz from the University of Alberta in Canada. Professor Karimi will also meet with doctoral students during a seminar.

On Tuesday, from 10:30-11:30 a.m. in Hall B of the Faculty of Automatic Control, Electronics and Computer Science there will be a doctoral seminar led by Prof. Hamid Reza Karimi, a long-time HighlyCited Researcher, editor of many leading scientific journals, specialist in artificial intelligence methods, automation and robotics, data processing, mechanics. The seminar will discuss scientific career models, international cooperation, good practices in preparing scientific publications, expectations of journal editors, project implementation. It will be an opportunity to meet an outstanding scientist. We cordially invite all doctoral students, conducting research in any discipline.
The "Polish Control Conference" is a periodic event organized under the substantive supervision of the Committee for Automatic Control and Robotics of the Polish Academy of Sciences, since 1958, every 3 years. In 1958-2014, the conference had a national character and was called "Krajowa Konferencja Automatyki". The Program Committee of the conference is formed by members of the Committee for Automatic Control and Robotics of the Polish Academy of Sciences, who, through discussion and voting, entrust the organization of the conference to another renowned academic center in the country. In 2023, the honor of organizing and hosting the conference was given to the Silesian University of Technology, which, being a laurate in the competition Excellence Initiative - Research University, among its six priority research areas declared in the development strategy, two of them are focused around issues directly related to the conference theme - these are Artificial Intelligence and Data Processing, and Process Automation and Industry 4.0. It is also responsible for the research area Process Automation and Industry 4.0 within the European university alliance EURECA-PRO.
The main purpose of the conference, in addition to integrating the broad community of automation and robotics specialists, people involved in data processing and analysis, mathematical modeling, artificial intelligence methods and many other related areas, is to present the latest developments and exchange experiences in research and application work. It is the most important scientific forum in this field organized in Poland. We also expect the participation of distinguished guests from abroad, which will place the PCC2023 conference among the important international events in this area. We look forward to the participation of experienced and young scientists and practitioners.
The conference will be enriched with many side events.
