We are pleased to announce that the conducted research, which aimed to present the professional situation of graduates of the 1st group of the specialisation “Air Navigation” at the Silesian University of Technology, showed extremely positive results. The research included graduates from 2018, who completed the Integrated Training for the ATPL(A) Linear Pilot License.
Of the 20 people who completed this course, as many as 14 found employment in the aviation industry as a professional pilot, which is an impressive indicator of effectiveness in the process of professional integration into the labour market.
It should also be noted that of these 14 people, 13 were employed by airlines, and are working as airline pilots. It is a testimony and confirmation of their high professional qualifications and preparation that our graduates have gained while studying at the Silesian University of Technology. In addition, one person took a job as an aviation instructor at an aviation school, sharing his knowledge and experience with future pilots.
In addition, we are proud to announce that 2 more people are in the process of recruitment for airlines, which gives hope for a rapid expansion of the group of graduates working in this industry. The remaining 3 people are in the process of acquiring or renewing aviation qualifications, which proves their determination and readiness to further professional development in aviation and strive for practical work in this industry as a pilot.
We are extremely pleased with this result, which proves the high quality of aviation education implemented at the Silesian University of Technology and the growing professional opportunities created by the specialty of air navigation. We are convinced that the success of our graduates will inspire future generations of students who also want to become a pilot in the future.
