Grants, funding, and scholarships in pro-quality programmes - 2022 summary
In 2022, more than 30 pro-quality programmes were carried out for employees, doctoral students, and students.
Pro-quality programmes are one of the main tools for implementing the Silesian University of Technology's development strategy and action plan within the framework of the Excellence Initiative - Research University programme. They are aimed at motivating and supporting employees, postgraduate students, and undergraduate students in the development of their scientific careers, increasing internationalisation, and improving the quality of education based on research and innovation, as well as double degree programmes.
In 2022, the Rector awarded a total of more than 2,700 pro-quality grants, subsidies and scholarships to more than 1,800 staff, doctoral candidates and students, and approved the recruitment of 6 people through the competition for outstanding young researchers and outstanding prominent researchers under the IDUB programme, the increase of subsidies to all basic units, and the funding of 232 PBL projects involving more than 1,000 students and 369 supervisors, as well as 97 student research club projects involving 255 students and 50 supervisors.
A detailed breakdown of the beneficiaries of each programme is presented below.
