General Aviation Workshops at the Silesian University of Technology
General Aviation Workshops will be held at the Silesian University of Technology from the 14th to 15th September 2022. They will be attended, among others, by representatives of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), universities educating in aviation professions, flight clubs and private aviation training centres as well as general aviation maintenance organizations.
Over 100 participants have announced their participation in the conference, which will be held in the hybrid mode. Among the invited guests there will be, among others, the Rector of the Silesian University of Technology prof. Arkadiusz Mężyk, President of CAA Piotr Samson, prof. of Silesian University of Technology and Jacek Bogatko from the National Commission for Aircraft Accident Investigation.
The workshops are aimed at assessing the state of safety in general aviation. They are also an opportunity for general aviation representatives to discuss safety factors, their condition, and related threats.
- “The President of the Civil Aviation Authority together with his subordinate unit performs the role of the aviation authority on the territory of the Republic of Poland. According to the national and international aviation law, one of the fundamental statutory duties of the President of the Civil Aviation Authority is the implementation of projects related to maintaining an acceptable level of aviation safety” - explained Dr. hab Eng. Jarosław Kozuba, prof. of SUT.
The workshops will be held at the Educational and Congress Centre of the Silesian University of Technology.
