Gallery X at the Faculty of Architecture

We invite you to visit Gallery X. This is a place where you can admire the works of outstanding artists and architects.

The gallery is a joint work of the Association of Polish Artists in Gliwice and Zabrze and the Faculty of Architecture of the Silesian University of Technology. – This is a unique place for many exhibitions by outstanding artists and valuable inspirations for students of the Silesian University of Technology and pupils of the Academic Secondary School, as well as for all art enthusiasts. Exhibitions are held periodically. The Gallery prides itself on the high standard of the exhibited works. This place has an informal rule that subsequent artists leave one selected work. Currently, the collection consists of 4 works and more will appear over time. In a few years it could be a considerable collection of works of art. It can be said that architecture students learn in the gallery, spending time among various works of art during classes and lectures, said dr hab. Eng. Arch. Klaudiusz Fross, prof. SUT.

The gallery is open to the public and open during the building's opening hours (8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.). It was created on the initiative of three people:  president of ZPAP (Association of Polish Artists and Designers)  Anna Zawisza-Kubicka, the dean - prof. SUT Klaudiusz Fross, vice-dean dr Krzysztof Groń.

The Gallery is located in the Main Hall and “under the arcades” lecture hall in building X of the Faculty of Architecture of the Silesian University of Technology at 10, Strzody Street in Gliwice.
