Andrzej Solisz’s gold medal, Małgorzata Włodarczyk’s silver and bronze, as well as women’s team’s silver – this is the result of a great performance of students of the Silesian University of Technology in the Polish Academic Championships in Sport Climbing, which was held in Lodz.

The Polish Academic Championships in Sport Climbing were held in three classic competitions – difficulty climbing, bouldering and time climbing.

Our representatives did a great job and won medals in the category of technical universities, and they were a hair away from the medals in the general classification. Andrzej Solisz won the gold medal in the category of technical universities in time climbing (fourth in the general classification), and Małgorzata Włodarczyk won the silver in time climbing in the category of technical universities (also fourth in the general classification), as well as bronze in bouldering.

The women’s team did a great job, which won the silver disc team in the classification of technical universities. Our team was composed of: Małgorzata Włodarczyk, Klaudia Michałowska, Amelia Kopel and Aleksandra Samol.
The coach of our athletes in this discipline is Jolanta Krzyszkowska. It is worth adding that in the general classification of all universities, after the competition of women and men, Silesian University of Technology took a high sixth place on 40 classified universities.
