Flying Road University 2025
From the 15th to 17th of October 2025, at the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Silesian University of Technology, the 8th edition of the workshop entitled: “Flying Road University” will take place. The event is addressed to students, in particular those of the engineering specialty in road construction.
The Flying Road University is organized annually by different Technical Universities in Poland. Currently, the participants are representatives of six Universities of Technology: Silesian, Bialystok, Gdańsk, Lublin, Cracow, and Rzeszów, as well as representatives of the event sponsor Orlen Asfalt Sp. Z o.o.
The event is organized and addressed to students of the above-mentioned universities, in particular to students of the road specialty. The workshop includes activities that broaden and popularize knowledge in the field of road construction. This year, the organizer and host of the event is the Department of Geotechnics and Roads of the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Silesian University of Technology. The inaugural lecture will be delivered by an eminent guest, Dr Eng. Krzysztof Błażejowski.
