Final of the National Career Week at the Faculty of Organization and Management
On the 16th of January at the Silesian University of Technology, the final of the Zabrze school competitions held as part of the “National Career Week 2025” took place. At the invitation of the Dean of the Faculty - Dr Hab Aleksandra Kuzior, Prof. SUT, we hosted school directors, management of the District Labour Office in Zabrze and professional advisors working in educational institutions, as well as finalists of literary, and artistic tournaments for National Career Week 2025 participants. Last year’s edition of this event was held under the slogan: “The Power of Relationships in the Age of Solitude.”
One of the coordinators of National Career Week (OTK) 2025 was the District Labour Office in Zabrze, whose director Elżbieta Korecka welcomed the participants. Then the course of the activities carried out in Zabrze was summarized, and Andrzej Kasperek, a vocational advisor from Primary School No. 15 (the second coordinator) named the winners of the individual competitions. In the speech preceding the awards, Prof. Aleksandra Kuzior wished all young people satisfaction with their achievements and a lot of energy to further pursue their passions.
A moment that aroused a lot of emotions among the youngest group of winners was the opportunity to hit the “victory gong,” the sound of which usually announces the successful defence of the certified works. An opportunity to visit the Faculty premises combined with a presentation of thematic studios and the “student zone” with facilities facilitating relaxation during breaks in classes was also an attraction for the invited guests.
Director Elżbieta Korecka thanked all the partners of the project, which include the Guild of Small and Medium-sized Craftsmen and Employers in Zabrze, the Voivodeship Labour Office in Katowice, the Centre for Practical and Continuing Education in Zabrze, the Primary School with Integrative Units No. 14 named after Adam Mickiewicz in Zabrze, Psychological and Pedagogical Clinic in Zabrze, Kindergarten No. 12 in Zabrze, Primary School with Integration Units No. 8 named after Janusz Korczak in Zabrze and Complex of Secondary Comprehensive Schools No. 14 in Zabrze. The Director of the District Labour Office in Zabrze addressed special words of appreciation and thanks to the Dean, Prof. Aleksandra Kuzior.
