Faculty of Transport and Aviation Engineering with the Symbol 2022 award
The Faculty of Transport and Aviation Engineering of the Silesian University of Technology has been awarded the "Symbol of Synergy of Science and Business 2022" award. The award ceremony took place on November 18th in Katowice.
As reminded by the Dean of the Faculty of Transport and Aviation Engineering, dr hab. Eng. Piotr Folęga, prof. of SUT, Symbol is a nationwide media program in which companies, local governments, universities, institutes of the Polish Academy of Sciences, municipal companies and other entities that function best in their industry, significantly contribute to the development of Poland, and their functioning becomes a role model - Just a Symbol.
- “The Faculty of Transport and Aviation Engineering of the Silesian University of Technology received the title "Symbol of Synergy of Science and Business 2022", which confirms the very good cooperation of the faculty with the socio-economic environment. This year the faculty celebrates its 20th anniversary “- said the Dean.
- “The Faculty of Transport and Aviation Engineering has been cooperating with representatives of many industries for many years. As a result of the actions taken, the existing specializations are improved and new specializations are created in close cooperation with the industry. Currently, the Faculty of Transport and Aviation Engineering offers the following faculties: transport and aviation and space engineering with a general academic profile, as well as rail transport with a practical profile implemented in close cooperation with industry as dual studies. In 2020, the innovation zone of the city of Katowice was established and is still being developed at the faculty. In cooperation with the city and with its significant support, modern research and teaching laboratories were created in the field of road, rail and air transport as well as traffic engineering and logistics “- said dr hab.
