The Open Day began with a lecture entitled “Batteries for bacteria, or how to obtain electricity from bacteria and waste,” which was delivered by Dr Hab. Eng. Katarzyna Krukiewicz, Prof. SUT. There was also a demonstration of chemical experiments, after which the youth learned what the rules of recruitment to the University are and what fields of study the Faculty of Chemistry offers.
- “I hope that during today's event we will encourage students to study at our faculty. We offer a wide range of courses, diploma paths, activities also outside the university.” - said PhD student Kornelia Kubies,
- “We also have science clubs, we carry out various projects and workshops in which you can develop your skills, so I encourage you to study with us, especially since chemistry is everywhere and it is worth getting to know it” - added Julia Kolińska, PhD student at the Faculty of Chemistry.
At the end of the Open Day, the pupils visited laboratories and visited stands presenting the application of chemistry in various industries.
