Faculty Days with EURECA-PRO

Studies as part of the EURECA-PRO European University, conducting research in cooperation with partner universities, assistance in building international partnerships, participation in language courses, workshops, study trips - it is worth getting acquainted with the possibilities offered by EURECA-PRO. Representatives of the consortium encourage you to take advantage of the rich offer addressed to students, doctoral students, research and administrative staff during the Days with EURECA-PRO at the faculties of the University.

EURECA-PRO is a network of universities - a European university with ambitions to become a recognized teaching and research and innovation centre, operating around broadly understood issues related to sustainable consumption and production of goods, in the areas of engineering and technical, exact and social sciences. It is an academic innovation hub contributing to the implementation of the principles of the EU Green Deal, developing new technologies, processes and systems, as well as defining and promoting responsible consumption behaviour, which together enable dynamic social and economic development with the effective use of natural resources for the sake of the environment and climate.

The Silesian University of Technology together with eight partner universities encourages all representatives of the academic community to familiarize themselves with the development opportunities offered by the participation of the University in this consortium for students and employees. The achievements of the Silesian University of Technology and the personal commitment of the project manager at the University, prof. Marek Pawełczyk were recognized and awarded the title of Personality of European Universities during the recently completed competition " European Universities - Alliances of the Future" , accompanying the 1st Conference of European Universities organized by the National Agency of the Erasmus+ Program and the European Solidarity Corps.

– European Universities are a new quality. It should be emphasized, however, that Poland still has to do a lot of work to make our universities more recognizable. Europe too must catch up with the world. American or Asian universities are often more valued. That is why the initiative of European Universities was born and it seems that in the next few years it will bring the expected results - said Vice-Rector Marek Pawełczyk after the award ceremony.
