Expert for students
On 23rd January, at the Faculty of Organization and Management of the Silesian University of Technology, the inaugural open lecture from the series “Faces of Business, Science and Politics. Management in Theory and Practice” took place. The meeting was organized on the initiative of the Dean of the Faculty, Dr Hab. Aleksandra Kuzior, Prof. SUT.
Mr. Grzegorz lot, President of Tauron Polska Energia S.A., one of the largest Polish energy companies, gave a speech for students, academics, and invited guests.
The lecture concerned the future of the industry, modern technologies, and pro-ecological activities. Participants heard how to manage a company and adapt to dynamic market and legal changes. TAURON’s President discussed, among others, the specifics of the functioning of a listed company, investments in the distribution network or the development of renewable energy sources. President Grzegorz Lot also explained the behind-the-scenes of the energy transition. He also answered questions from students.
- “A series of open lectures, providing direct contact with people enjoying authority in their industries, is an original forum for exchange of views and discussion between practitioners, theoreticians, and adepts of the art of management. Young people will be able to confront their ideas with specific experiences of scientists, managers, businesspeople, politicians, and representatives of public administration” - Prof. Aleksandra Kuzior emphasised.
The event took place at the Faculty of Organization and Management of the Silesian University of Technology in Zabrze, at 26, Roosevelta Street.
