Are you a PhD student and want to expand your research skills, establish international contacts, and explore sustainability topics outside your home university? Eureka-PRO PhD Journey 2025 is your chance to achieve this. In November this year, you can take part in an international training and mobility program that connects PhD students from all over Europe.
This year’s on-site program will be held simultaneously in several places: TU Bergakademie Freiberg / Hochschule Mittweida and Universidad de León (Spain), and from 1 October 2025 it will be supplemented with an attractive online component. The deadline for applications is 8 September 2025. For EURECA-PRO PhD students the cost of participation is free of charge but does not include travel and accommodation costs.
Who can apply?
PhD students from EURECA-PRO partner universities whose research is related to sustainability or responsible consumption and production, and PhD students who are fluent in English.
Please note: You cannot apply for a PhD Journey program organized by your own institution!
What about the program?
The event will start online on October the 1st with numerous training courses on topics such as information management, research databases and intercultural competences. The campus week of November 24-28, 2025, will be the highlight of the course. Participants will spend these days at one of the three universities, depending on the subject of the research. The circular economy, the energy transition, new generation of electronic and photonic materials, robotics and economic and social sustainability are just a few examples from a wide range of topics. The program is suitable for PhD students in the field of sustainable development and more specifically responsible consumption and production. After obtaining the consent of the promoter, you can apply online via the EURECA-PRO website until 8 September. The board consisting of members of the host institutions will consider your application. If you are accepted, please contact the EURECA-PRO team for further organizational information.
