Silesian Education Congress with the participation of the Silesian University of Technology

On May 27th, 2026, the Silesian Stadium will become the place of one of the most important debates about the future of education in Poland. It is here that the first pilot Silesian Education Congress will take place – an event that will bring together teachers, experts, local government officials, representatives of ministries and innovators around one question: What will the education of tomorrow look like? The Silesian University of Technology will take part in the Congress.

It is a congress that will combine many key topics of contemporary education – from artificial intelligence and new technologies in teaching, through inclusive education, assessment for development and a new core curriculum, to competences of the future, teacher education, classroom management, physical activity and the idea of lifelong learning.

Silesian University of Technology will appear at the Silesian Education Congress – it will be possible to visit the University’s stand, as well as the mobile promotional laboratory “Xperium SUT.” In addition, the Director of the Centre for Modern Education, Anna Waligóra Dr in Social Sciences, will present a lecture on “Modern education in the Silesian University of Technology” and will take part in a discussion panel.

The substantive part of the congress will be opened by Maciej Kawecki – one of the most important voices in Poland in the conversation about technology, AI, and the digital future of education.

Artificial intelligence, student relationships with chatbots, the new core curriculum “Compass of Tomorrow 2026”, functional evaluation instead of traditional grades – these will not be theoretical considerations. This is a real talk about the changes that are already happening in schools.

The speakers will also include experts from the Copernicus Science Centre and representatives of the Ministry of National Education and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

- The Silesian Stadium has so far been associated with great sporting and musical events. May 27th changes its role – it will become a space for a great conversation about the future of the Polish school – says Aleksandra Dyla.
